I have been riding horses since I was 8 and ever since then it's been my life and my passion. Horseback riding is how I spent my every afternoon and at least one or two weekends out of the month. After devoting a pretty generous part of my life to equestrian sports, one of the comments that I despise hearing the most is: "Horseback riding isn't a sport." A large number of people think that horseback riding is just about looking pretty and riding ponies around in circles. They don't understand the hard work, passion, and emotion put in to this sport. Well this blog is going to contain reasons why horseback riding IS a sport, and equestrians are one of the hardest working athletes around.
